Thilou van Aken

I am Thilou van Aken, 35 years old and born in Amsterdam. I started taking photographs over 8 years ago. Initially Urban Exploring photography. Urban Exploring photography is visiting, photographing and documenting infrastructure created by man, usually abandoned buildings or inaccessible locations. But over the years I have also started working more and more on commission. In addition to my salaried job, I also started my own work as a photographer on January 1, 2020. With my photos I hope to touch, amaze and delight people and also create something that people will continue to look at. For me, the power of a good photo is that you keep looking at it and I hope that with my view of the world this can trigger everything in people.
