Verónica Álvarez was born in Galicia, Spain, in 1981.
At a young age she embraced the freedom of communicating through painting and from the age of 5 till 19 attended private art lessons by renowned painter Alicia Alonso.
Always in struggle with her perfectionistic, impulsive and creative personality, Veronica felt the need for structure and decided to follow an HBO in Administration and Finance and made a career of it. She moved to the Netherlands in 2007 where she worked in accounting for the past 10 years.
Throughout the years she has been battling with several anxiety disorders, like agoraphobia and panic attacks, reaching a peak in 2017, when she more actively returned her focus to drawing which is the expression of art that she finds more suitable to express her emotions.
Veronica thinks of art as a translation tool for her imagination, and hopes her drawings can transport the viewer to a different kind of world.
